Great article. As the daughter of a Cuban exile who was forced to flee his land in 1960 with his family, or risk death at the hands of the Castro/Gevara/Cienfuegos communist revolution, I still can’t help but agree.

My family would be appalled, but nothing is ever black and white.

My millennial daughter detests capitalism and leans greatly to the left, while my Cuban family majoritavely abhors anything having to do with socialism.

I understand both sides and having a passion so great, that you would be willing to kill for what you perceived is for the greater good, as misguided as it may be.
