Unfortunately, most white people don’t notice that it’s NOT happening, simply because we’ve never experienced it actually happening.

Most people can only understand something to the extent of their own experiences.

This isn’t an excuse. I recognize my priviledge now, and do the best I can to explain it to those other white people who don’t get it, but it took others (my kids and black friends) pointing out examples as they were happening for me to fully comprehend the meaning.

I just hope I’m not falling short in doing my part.
